Congratulations to the winners of the international grant competition Canada India SCI Innovation Award – Getting Solutions to Market 

RHI recently completed an independent summative evaluation based on our previous (2013-2018) $35-million agreement with primary funding partner Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD).

Dr. Cindy Gauthier is the recipient of The Rick and Amanda Hansen Fellowship, in Partnership with the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation and the Rick Hansen Institute. Her research will focus on the use of functional electrical stimulation to improve balance and hand/arm function in people with SCI.

The Rick Hansen Institute has partnered with the Waakebiness-Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health and Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation to fund two post-doctoral fellows, Drs. Sandra Juutilainen and Melanie Jeffrey for their project “Indigenous populations and spinal cord injury: utilizing an Indigenous lens to establish meaningful data.”
